The Mother Baby Nursing Director will join and work in one of the state’s business women children services departments. Administrative responsibilities of the Mother Baby Nursing Director will include overseeing department operations of the 30+ bed Mother Baby postpartum unit, scheduling, supply maintenance and reordering, quality assurance, state and federal compliance, updating policy procedures, and assisting with the department budgets. Additionally, the Mother Baby Nursing Director will be a mentor and resource for the labor and delivery team, assist with new hire and continuous staff educational programming, and cross collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure exceptional patient care is consistently delivered.
Reporting to the Senior Director Women Services, the Mother Baby Nursing Director will be accountable for overseeing the Maternity Services postpartum unit, and will be supported by a Nurse Manager, Assistant Managers, Educator, Registered Nurses, Technicians, and ancillary staff. Responsibilities of the Mother Baby Nursing Director include overseeing department workflow, scheduling, managing the budget, ensuring regulatory compliance, updating policy procedures and assisting with staff education. The Mother Baby Nursing Director will be a positive individual who is excited to promote a patient-centered environment and lead, mentor, motivate, and educate an innovative team. Ideally, the Mother Baby Nursing Director will have prior leadership experience, a clinical background working in a LDRP or Mother Baby unit, along with an active RN license.
