CNC Programmer / Machinist III

Job Summary: Programs, operates, and maintains CNC production equipment for the production of quality thermoplastic and thermoset injection molds.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
1. Knows and applies a variety of CNC programming and machining concepts, practices, and procedures.
2. Downloads requirement data into CAM software, and creates machining program with correct tooling and feed-rates.
3. Works off of sequences to create roughing and finishing machine paths.
4. Performs his/her own setups.
5. Performs a variety of complicated tasks that require a certain degree of creativity and latitude.
6. Works with the Supervisor, Scheduler, and Shop Foreman to understand which tools are to be machined, and in what order they are scheduled.
7. Works with the designers to verify models and which tools and parts are to be machined.
8. Runs multiple machines simultaneously.
9. Inspects workpieces, including mic’s, calipers, and height gauges.
10. Maintains CNC tooling inventory.
11. Performs other duties as assigned
