Job Description
We are seeking an experienced individual with a working knowledge of Appfolio property management software and familiarity with real estate. Strong accounting skills to perform accounts receivable, accounts payable, and preparation of monthly profit and loss statements. Excellent organizational skills are a must. Prefer some real estate experience. Professional attitude and positive or up-beat personality is needed for co-worker relationships and customer service.
Defined below are more details regarding the necessary skills.
Bookkeeping:
- Use of Appfolio for AP/AR review duties.
- Interface with our off-site accounting team, REA.
- Reviewing and analyzing invoices, processing payments, posting to accounts payable and receivables.
- Ensuring timely and accurate payments to and maintaining communications with vendors.
- Monitoring bank accounts on a daily basis to ensure availability of funds.
- Comply with relevant reporting requirements.
- Maintain complete filing system to support financial records.
Administrative:
- Take incoming calls, advise as directed and take messages
- Manage calendar for Company executive
- Update contact database
- Performing other office duties as required.
Qualifications:
- Prior real estate experience a must (prefer real estate property management).
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in a Bookkeeping role using Appfolio or other accounting softwear.
- College coursework in accounting strongly preferred, but not required.
- Knowledgeable of accounting, reconciliations and A/P as well as A/R functions.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Microsoft Office knowledge (Excel & Word a must).
- Multi-tasking and fast learning ability.
- Excellent grammar and punctuation.
- Strong interpersonal and customer relationship skills
