Instructor

Position Summary: Tigua Facilities is looking for an Instructor for the Staff and Faculty Development Division on the contract. This position will provide all lesson material and obtain and use approved Government POIs, lesson plans, student handouts, tests, and related instructional material for course instruction.

Experience Requirements:

• Provide instruction to students attending the Gooding Instruction Facility (GIF) and related training areas in your field(s) of expertise.
• Provide instruction on any of the Military improvement and sustainment course, such as GCSS-A (Global Combat Support System-Army), DTMS (Digital Training Management System), Unit Armorers course assigned courses, given adequate preparatory time.
• Assist and advise students attending these courses by answering questions during class and for a short time immediately before/after class.
• Provide all lesson material and obtain and use approved Government POIs, lesson plans, student handouts, tests, and all related instructional materials for course instruction.
• Participate in any administrative or training events as required.
• Obtain and maintain instructional certification when required to keep or maintain instructional eligibility at the GIF.
• Excellent verbal, written, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills.
• Must be able to understand, read, write, and speak the English language fluently.
• Know how to employ interactive techniques, such as questions and answers and practical exercises to involve students in the learning process.
• Understand and be proficient in the use of academic assessment and evaluation techniques, and individual, peer and facilitator feedback.
• Be proficient in developing products using Microsoft Office, including PowerPoint presentations. Shall have sufficient knowledge of this software to troubleshoot problems and assist students in developing training products with Microsoft Office.
• Adhere to course standards and enforce these standards.
• Other duties as directed.
• Must pass drug/background screening.

Education and Work Requirements:

• Experience in the following areas: Learning theory, learning styles, learning models, and facilitation techniques.
• Preferably in education or a general certificate of 24hrs as an Instructional Systems Specialist (ISS)
• Minimum of two years’ experience as an instructor in a military classroom environment.
• Demonstrate proficiency in writing APA style.
• Instructor Certification.
• Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Will consider an equivalent of work experience in lieu of education.

Supervisory Responsibility: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

Location; Onsite El Paso TX

Travel:30% required

Physical and Technical Environment:

• Must be able to lift 10 pounds at times.
• Must be able to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
• May have to sit or stand for long periods of time
• Will have to verbally provide course instruction to students

Position Type and Expected Hours of Work: This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday. Occasional evening and weekend work may be required as job duties demand.
