Job Description
We Are:
A small boutique transaction-based law firm seeking a Legal Secretary to join our growing professional team in Garden City, New York. We provide a friendly and comfortable work environment that values the contributions of its employees. We are looking to hire someone full-time (or part-time) to assist in drafting letters, answering phones, filing paperwork, and talking with clients.
We Require:
• Solid verbal and written communication skills and a positive, team-oriented attitude.
• Willingness to learn and grow professionally;
• Proficiency in Word Processing (Word or Word Perfect). Knowledge of Excel a plus;
• Strong work ethic, with the ability to self-prioritize assignments and work independently;
• Ability to communicate professionally with clients.
We Prefer:
• Some Trusts and Estate or Real Estate experience in a law firm, but are willing to train;
• Excellent multi-tasking skills;
• Bilingual is a strong plus (Spanish);
The company provides a retirement plan (a “Simple IRA”) and we match up to 3%. The base pay range of $15.00-$25.00 per hour represents the anticipated compensation range expected for this position.
