Responsibilities
- Maintain documentation, reporting and record-keeping
- Implement an Emergent Curriculum
- Support children’s emotional, physical, or behavioural well-being; while helping to develop their social, emotional, cognitive and physical skills.
- Maintain attendance and health and safety checks.
- Responsible for the care, hygiene, learning, developmental activities, specialized programs, and redirection of children
- Maintains classroom organization
- Engage with current and prospective parents and family members and is responsive to their needs.
- Work with professionals, such as Speech Therapists, Occupational Therapists, and Early Interventionists as necessary
- Support children through transitions in and out of the classrooms
- Meet all classroom ratios as outlined in state regulations
- Participate and interact in team meetings and workshops
- Keep management informed of any necessary information regarding the care and safety of the children
- Assist and accept responsibility in other daily center duties that might be temporary if other personnel are.
Specifications
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate at all levels with children, parents and co-workers.
- Ability to utilize computer systems for all documentation, reporting, and classroom operations
- Strong collaborator and team player
- Ability to take initiative in and out of the classroom
- Strong problem-solving skills
Compensation

Qualifications
- High School Diploma
- CDA, Associate’s Degree, or Bachelor’s Degree in ECE preferred
- Clear FBI, criminal, child abuse, and NSOR background checks
- Up to date Health Assessment / TB test.
- Ability to push, pull and lift up- to 45 pounds
