Sheet Metal Worker - URGENT NEED!
Powercon Corp - SwitchGear Manufacturing facility near Glen Burnie area needs sheet metal workers/mechanics to work in industrial setting on CNC equipment. Hiring for 1st & 2nd shift - Multiple Positions Available
Willing to train operation of machinery, but must have the aptitude to focus on the details and oversee quality control even on repetitive work.
Qualifications:
- Skills cutting, layout, bolting, drilling, sheeting and other miscellaneous tasks required
- Experience with CNC machining, shears, press brakes and punch presses a plus
- Use of hand and power tools, measuring devices, and material handling
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, follow work instructions and perform duties as assigned
- Understanding and executing safety and quality procedures
- Recognize and correct any faults in assigned process
- Quality control of the parts manufactured
- Manufacturing parts to be used in assemblies for production purposes
Skills
- Must be be reliable, responsible, organized, and a precise hard worker who can focus on details
- Precision and highest standards are required
- Sheet metal experience is plus.
Experience
- Basic technical manufacturing knowledge
- CNC - machining
- Some experience on welding and using power tools
Job Requirements
- 1 - 2 year experience operating CNC machinery, micrometers and calipers
- Previous experience in Manufacturing preferred
- Ability to pass pre-employment drug screen and physical
