Civil Engineer - Construction Inspection

Position Overview:

You will be working on KYTC projects and Local LPA Projects in Central, Eastern and Norther Kentucky providing monitoring and construction inspection of concrete or asphalt roadways, bridges, drainage systems, and earthwork.

Primary Duties:

• Reviews plans and specifications of assigned public works construction project with construction supervisor; attends pre-construction meetings if applicable. Inspects materials for identification as conforming to Specification, and Roadway, Bridge, MPT standards and contract special provisions.
• Perform inspections for conformance to plans, specifications, standards and regulations.
• Monitors contractor staffing for labor compliance to ensure State and Federal regulations are met.
• Complete comprehensive documentation and daily reports.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Equivalent.
