Direct Support Professional DSP

We're in search of a Direct Support Professional to provide daily care for elderly or disabled individuals. This role is an excellent fit for empathetic caregivers eager to make a significant impact through their dedication and service.

Schedule & Compensation:

• Hours Needed: Monday-Friday, 8 AM to 3:15 PM and 2 PM-9 PM; weekends with flexible shifts between 9 AM to 9 PM.
• Starting Rate: $18-$20/hr, with potential increases based on experience, hours worked, and consistent delivery of quality service. Performance is evaluated regularly to ensure our team members are recognized for their contributions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with personal care tasks like walking and personal hygiene.
• Perform household duties including cooking, cleaning, and errands.
• Provide support and companionship during recovery or lifestyle adjustments.
• Monitor health under professional guidance, managing medication and vital signs.
• Aid in meal planning and preparation to ensure nutritious diets.
• Facilitate external appointments and social outings.
• Advise on maintaining a clean, healthy living environment.
• Participate in planning sessions to address client needs comprehensively.
• Keep detailed records of client progress and service details.
• Submit regular reports on client health statuses.

Qualifications:

• CNA or STNA certification is advantageous but not mandatory.
• Proficient in lifting up to 35 pounds and aiding patient mobility.
• Must have a current CPR certification and pass a background check.
• Required completion of state-mandated 8-hour annual training.
