Civil Engineer/Project Manager

CIVIL ENGINEER / PROJECT MANAGER:

Kraft Municipal Group, Inc. has a full-time job opening in our Shillington, PA office for a senior level Civil Engineer and Project Manager. This is an on-site, non-remote position.

We are seeking candidates with 5+ years of experience in civil design and/or municipal services with a BS in Civil Engineering and Professional Engineering (PE) License to join our municipal engineering team. Kraft Municipal Group provides consulting engineering services to numerous municipalities in Berks, Chester and Lancaster Counties.

Essential Duties

• Management of municipal client(s) including ongoing correspondence, meeting attendance and project management

• Civil Site and Municipal Infrastructure Design

• Stormwater management and erosion and sediment control design and review

• Review of subdivision and land development plans

• Construction observation, inspection and other field related activities

• Experience with PaDEP and PennDOT permit application preparation

• MS4 permit implementation and management

• Municipal ordinance and planning document preparation

• Municipal meeting attendance (after typical working hours) should be anticipated including board of supervisor meetings and planning commission meetings

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering

• PE license (or willing to obtain when eligible), similar experience or qualifications will be considered

• Ability to effectively manage multiple clients, projects and tasks

• Excellent communication skills required

• Valid Pennsylvania driver’s license with acceptable driving record for the past three years.

Strong emphasis is placed on the ability to effectively communicate technical information, orally and in writing. Successful applicants will need to communicate with contractors, developers, property owners, employees, consultants, other governmental agency representatives, municipal officials and the general public on a daily basis. The position is intended to be office based with the occasional need for field meetings and construction site observation. The selected candidate should anticipate the need to mentor and work with younger staff members.
