Transit Shop lead Technician needed in Beautiful Winter Park, CO!

Transdev is actively seeking experienced Shop Lead Technician for their fixed route services in Winter Park, CO. We are looking for qualified and experienced fleet lead technician to diagnose and repair vehicles, equipment assists technicians with diagnosing and work delegation. Monitor Preventive maintenance due list, locations bus down list. Ensure enough buses are ready to pull out. Monitor daily safety inspections, to work in Brand new maintenance facility. And with state-of-the-art equipment. We offer OEM training.

Responsibilities:

  • Manages transit vehicle maintenance that is compliant with The Lift system in Winter Park and TransDev
  • Manages the shift techs, assigns work, parts distribution,
  • Document all parts of work orders to the assigned transit vehicles and related mechanical equipment.
  • Ensures accurate upgrades and/or modifications on coach systems, road calls, and on-the-road repairs as needed.
  • Coaches and monitors team members on the work team.
  • Other duties as required.


Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience managing a shop and a work force.
  • Must have a high school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Preferred knowledge of WABCO, Pro-Heat Systems, Thermo-King systems, I/O Control Modules and Functions
  • Must be able to read and understand wiring diagrams and schematics.
  • Must have knowledge of Cummins In-Site program and functions.
  • Must have in-depth computer knowledge to be able to scan and diagnose trouble codes.
  • ASE certification preferred. Must be able to obtain ASE certifications within 24 months.
  • Commercial Driving License with passenger and airbrake endorsements (We offer development opportunities for obtaining your license)
  • Excellent communication skills with ability to read, work with operation for successful vehicle pull outs, interpret safety documents, blueprints, schematics, and other mechanical diagrams.
  • Ability to pass a DOT physical examination, including a background and drug test.
