Job Description
Responsibilities: - Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and dressing. - Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring client safety at all times. - Monitor and record vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature. - Assist with meal preparation and feeding, adhering to dietary restrictions. - Provide companionship and emotional support to clients. - Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as laundry and tidying up. - Follow all HIPAA guidelines to maintain client confidentiality. - Provide specialized care for clients with dementia or Alzheimer's disease. - Support clients in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care settings. - Perform catheter care as needed.
Requirements: - Valid certification as a Home Health Aide or similar qualification. CPR Certification- TB Test- Clean Background - Previous experience in a healthcare or caregiving role is preferred. - Knowledge of HIPAA regulations and ability to maintain client confidentiality. - Familiarity with dementia care techniques and understanding of the unique needs of individuals with cognitive impairments. - Ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support to clients and their families. - Experience working in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, or hospice care settings is a plus. - Basic knowledge of meal preparation and ability to follow dietary restrictions. - Ability to perform basic nursing tasks such as taking vital signs is desirable but not required.
