Accounting Manager

A mid-sized company is looking for an Accounting Manager to undertake all aspects of financial management, including corporate accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget, and forecast preparations, as well as development of internal control policies and procedures for an immediate opening at its office at Columbus, OH This is a full-time position, and the duties will be conducted on site. Candidates must have proven expenses in handling high volume accounting transactions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to -

• Managing all accounting operations including billing, A/R, A/P, GL and counsel, cost accounting, inventory accounting, and revenue recognition
• Coordinate and direct the preparation of the budget and financial forecasts and report variances
• Prepare and publish monthly financial statements
• Coordinate the preparation of regulatory reporting
• Support month-end and year-end closings
• Ensure accuracy and quality control over financial transactions and financial reporting
• Manage and comply with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
• Develop and document business processes and accounting policies to maintain and strengthen internal controls
• Manage and direct accounting team to meet end goals
• Communicate job expectations and train/coach employees

Education and Experience

• Proven working experience as an Accounting Manager
• 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
• Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
• Bachelor's degree in accounting preferred
• Excellent leadership and communication skills
• Experience working with commodities is a plus
