Job Summary and Qualifications

Responsible for performing all assigned diagnostic cardiac and vascular ultrasound exams in a timely manner. Performs procedures according to physician's orders or per prescription on outpatients. As a member of the care team, the Ultrasound Sonographer is responsible for working collaboratively with other members to assure safe and accurate delivery of patient care, quality control, quality improvement, and equipment maintenance. 

Qualifications of the Echo Vascular Technologist 

EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE: 

• Certificate of successful completion from an accredited school of cardiac ultrasound. 
• One year of echocardiography experience preferred

 LICENSES & CERTIFICATIONS: 

• Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) 
• Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date
•  Registered Vascular Technologist (RVT) with American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography (ARDMS) or Registered Vascular Specialist (RVS) with Cardiovascular Credentialing International (CCI) strongly preferred
