The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery at The Ohio State University seeks a fulltime board-certified/board-eligible plastic surgeon who would like to grow and lead the Gender Affirmation program. A multidisciplinary collaboration is already established and we now need a leader to take this institutionally supported program to the next level.

Minimum Qualifications:                                  

  • MD or DO
  • Successful completion of a Plastic Surgery Residency
  • Additional experience and/or sub-specialty fellowship training in Gender Affirmation is desired.
  • Board Certified or Board Eligible
  • Faculty rank and compensation commensurate with experience and qualifications

 

About the Department:

The Department of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery has 18 full-time faculty, 5 faculty at Nationwide Childrens Hospital and 9 community faculty who are committed to the tripartite mission of clinical excellence, research and education.  Our independent residency has 3 residents and our integrated residency program recently expanded to 18 residents in 2021.  We have three fellows in microsurgery and pediatric plastic surgery.  We are a referral center for central Ohio to provide comprehensive Plastic Surgery care at the Wexner Medical Center and the James Comprehensive Cancer Center of The Ohio State University.
