Job Description
West End Plastic Surgery, a premier cosmetic plastic surgery practice in Washington, DC is seeking a Practice Manager who will have overall responsibility for leadership, strategic planning, delivery, evaluation and fiscal management of the practice.


Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Maintain efficient day-to-day operations of a multi-physician cosmetic surgery practice working with both medical and non-medical staff.
  • Develop strategies for making business practices more efficient, improving the patient's experience, and earning more profits through operating the practice.
  • Responsible for productivity, financial, compliance reports, and sending daily, weekly, and monthly practice reports.
  • Consciously builds a positive team culture of passion, dedication, and accountability.
  • Being a cultural role model with the practice and tending to any employee relations issues under the guidance of Prime Aesthetics Group Human Resources.
  • Administer time off requests, employee transfers, changes in job classification, salary increases, performance reviews and other employment related documentation for all practice operations.
  • Adopting a 'hands-on approach in supporting and training staff while identifying and managing performances
  • Maintain efficient appointment scheduling, registration, and patient flow to enhance patient satisfaction and physician productivity.
  • Works collaboratively with physicians and leadership to accomplish organization and practice goals.
  • Ensures compliance with all regulatory requirements.
  • Develop business strategies and assess resources to achieve assigned goals.
  • Oversee location ensuring that clinic is stocked, and resources are procured/supplied as needed and environment is maintained to a high standard.
  • Establish and implement effective workplace processes and procedures.
  • Ensure policies and best practices are up to industry standards and government regulations.
  • Ensure patient records are kept in the electronic health record.
  • Motivates, communicates and provides a positive environment in which all employees find job satisfaction.
  • Provide updates on revenue, personnel, and other critical business information with the team and physicians.
  • Ensure patient experience is efficient and costs managed while ensuring patients are provided with the best possible experience during their surgical journey .
  • Demonstrate excellent customer service skills by interacting with and providing timely resolution to patient concerns.
  • Responsible for schedule management to ensure adequate coverage of practice to include clinic and surgery scheduling.
  • Manages the clinic's scheduling and payment processing system, resolving any issues or updates.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Health Administration or other related field and/or a combination of related experience required.
  • Five (5) years leadership experience, preferably in a busy healthcare and/or plastic surgery office required.
  • Ability to demonstrate a solid understanding of the business and people operations.
  • Proficiency in computer operations to include Microsoft Office and practice accounting and inventory systems. Must have ability to learn and demonstrate competency in company technology platforms.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking, creativity, problem-solving and decision-making skills.
  • Exceptional organization, communication (verbal and written) and facilitation skills.
  • Solid understanding of how to market the practice to patients and commitment to achieving patient satisfaction, revenue, and budgeting goals.  
  • A solid understanding of medical terminology, health care management, accounting, health care and employment law, and ethics.
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
