Schmersahl Treloar, CPA is seeking a Full Time Administrative Assistant – Tax Processor to join our team.

This position supports the entire firm in all administrative needs, providing administrative services to CPAs and all other business affiliates in addition to maintaining an efficient and organized work environment for all firm employees. Busy office environment will require some work on weekends and evenings.

Responsibilities:

o   Process and assemble completed tax returns, and related reports; delivering completed packages electronically or through paper copies:

o   Corporations

o   S-Corporations

o   LLC

o   Individuals

o     Scanning, copying, assembling, and binding tax returns and various other reports

o      Maintaining office equipment daily (i.e., changing toner, stocking paper, and placing maintenance orders)

o      Assist with general clerical and daily office tasks.

o      Ordering Supplies for both the office and kitchen.

o     Responsible for typing various types of documents, letters, labels, envelopes, and spreadsheets.

o      Prepare files, data entry, and maintain records.

o      Provide back-up for other administrative team members, including the receptionist:

     o   Front Desk Reception - Greet clients in person and via the phone, direct them to the correct personnel or take detailed messages.

     o   Proofing financial statements

     o   Copying, assembling and binding financial statements, tax returns and various other reports

o   Sort and distribute incoming mail – pickup outgoing mail from workstations.

     o      Provide general administrative and office support

o      Other duties as assigned

 

Desired Skills & Experience Preferred:

o      Possesses basic knowledge of tax returns, forms, processing, and terminology

o      1-3+ years’ experience in a tax assembly/processor role in a public accounting or tax firm

o      Experience with CCH Axcess & Engagement a plus

 

Required Skills:

o      Proficiency in Microsoft Office.  Most importantly Word, Excel, and Outlook

o      Strong verbal and interpersonal skills

o      Ability to multitask

o      Excellent time management and organizational skills

o     Knowledge of standard office equipment.

o      Dependability

 

 

Hours of the position are:   8:00 – 5:00 Mon – Friday

                                            8:00 – 2:00 Saturday (January – April)
