Job Description
The Account Executive (AE) position will be responsible for positively impacting market growth, vertical penetration, and geographic expansion initiatives as well as leverage existing relationships to grow the Link Integration Group’s footprint in the Baton Rouge and Gulf Coast region.
Essential Duties….
The Account Executive (AE) will help facilitate continuing growth of Link Integration Group’s (LIG) Audio Visual integration business by working with our passionate team of professionals. The AE will be expected to uncover sales opportunities among targeted prospective clients, network partners, and others. The AE will be a solid relationship builder who will work with the design team to foster relationships and implement innovative AV environments.
The AE is will provide LIG clients and prospects with the highest possible level of quality in service to their account by communicating detailed client requirements to internal and external LIG support personnel ensuring that the client experiences excellent service. It is the responsibility of the AE to make certain that client expectations are being met or exceeded by creating realistic expectations, then meeting those expectations.
Responsibilities….
Sales and Business Development:
- Accountable for A/V integration business opportunities for LIG within the existing service area, and other potential growth markets.
- Acts as the team leader for LIG’s delivery of proposals for client and RFP opportunities, and functions as the lead client relationship manager for new and assigned accounts.
- Attend trade shows and Vendor demonstration events.
- Work with the Sales Director to develop a sales plan to achieve corporate revenue and profit goals.
Sales Metrics and Reporting:
- Opportunity Forecasting/Sales Proposals/Sales Pipeline: LIG utilizes an ERP/CRM system to track Opportunities and business activities.
- Update sales and opportunity records in a timely manner
- Weekly conference calls to assess potential sales activity
Team Efforts:
- The individual must be a team player and contribute to the overall effectiveness of the team. They must represent LIG professionally and ethically and demonstrate good judgment and common sense in handling client issues.
- The individual must be able to work independently with a minimum of supervision and exercise strong technical, written and verbal communication skills.

Displays an understanding of how job relates to others. Uses resources effectively. Existing basic knowledge of AV and collaborative technologies. A good grasp of IT and networking technologies is a big plus
- Customer Service – Manages difficult or emotional client situations; Responds promptly to client needs; Solicits client feedback to improve service; Responds to requests for service and assistance; Meets commitments.
- Education/Experience - Bachelors’ or Associates degree preferred; equivalent work experience accepted. 3+ years’ outside sales experience in the Audio-Visual, communication collaboration, and/or IT integration industry.
