Accountant Bookkeeper

The accountant who will work with us at Boutique Accounting Services believes that no matter where someone is in their financial journey we can partner with them to build the future they have always dreamed of for their business. We’re looking for a qualified accountant to keep our company and clients’ numbers and budgets on track with unwavering accuracy. The most successful people will have a natural passion for math, and a strong understanding of the intricacies of assets, liabilities, profit and loss, tax liability, and other financial transactions within an organization. He or she will play an enormously important leadership role, keeping our company and clients’ financial outlook bright with precision and proactive measures.

Key responsibilities include:

• Review financial statements
• Prepare and review tax returns, business and personal
  • 1040
  • 1120s
  • 1120
  • 1065
  • 990
• Perform monthly bank reconciliations
• Perform monthly credit card reconciliations
• Payroll and sales tax filings
• Supporting team on month-end close procedures
• Provide accounting and financial support to staff as needed
• Positive contributor to the team by supporting and executing projects as needed
• Other ad hoc projects as assigned as needed

Requirements

Educational and experience requirements include:

• Accounting degree or an equivalent level of training/experience
• Relevant experience in accounting, taxes and cashflow management
• Knowledge of accounting, taxes, and financial reporting
• Strong accuracy and attention to detail
• Above average written and verbal communication skills to interact with customers and internal team Proven budgeting and cash management skills
• Proficient with Quickbooks Desktop and on-line
• Excel
• Drake tax software experience a plus
