Located within sight of the Nations Capital, we are only a short distance from historic buildings that house today's leaders and commemorate yesterday's. Points of interest are: Smithsonian Institution, national museums, the National Mall, Zoo, Vietnam and Korean War Memorials.

The Washington D.C. VA Medical Center has several outstanding area opportunities for psychiatrist.  They are:

Primary Care and Behavioral Health Clinics- Located in the main Wash DC facility.   The Clinic is a multidisciplinary program that provides outpatient medical, psychiatric, and social work services to Veterans. Psychiatrists and other psychotherapists in the mental health clinic provide individual, family, and group psychotherapy to Veterans with various psychological concerns and symptoms. The Mental Health Clinic currently offers the following psychotherapeutic treatments: Depression Psychotherapy Group; Anger-Management Group; Grief and Loss Group; Short-term solution-focused Psychotherapy; Cognitive-Behavioral Psychotherapy; Other Evidence Based Psychotherapies. Typical schedule is M-F, 7:30 am--4:30 pm

Womens Health Clinic- Focuses on health promotion, disease prevention and wellness in an atmosphere appealing to women. The center is managed by nationally certified womens health care nurse practitioners and staffed by board certified physicians.  Mental health includes evaluation and assistance for issues such as depression, mood, and anxiety disorders; intimate partner and domestic violence; sexual trauma; elder abuse or neglect; parenting and anger management; marital, caregiver, or family-related stress; and post-deployment adjustment or post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD).

Psychiatrist for the Charlotte Hall Community Based Outpatient Clinic- This facility provides quality health care services for Veterans living in the Southern Maryland area.  Located less than an hour south of Washington D.C., the Charlotte Hall CBOC is a dynamic multifunctional clinic located in the heart of St. Marys County, Maryland. Have the work like life balance in an area brimming with history, outdoor fun, and vibrant culture. With such close proximity to our nations capital (Washington D.C.)You can enjoy all the attractions, sports, shopping, and entertainment that a metropolitan area has to offer. Work Schedule: Mon-Fri 8:00am- 4:30pm, very limited occasional weekend coverage.

 

Eligibility for Education Loan Repayment

Fort Belvoir VA Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)-  the Ft. Belvoir Community Hospitals Sunrise Pavilion is the 10,000 square foot facility that replaced the Alexandria CBOC. The VA-Ft. Belvoir CBOC provides basic medical care, preventive care, and health education for eligible Veterans, including comprehensive womens health care. Open Mondays through Fridays 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Southern Prince George's County Community Based Outpatient Clinic- DC VA's newest Community Based Outpatient Clinic, located across the street from Joint Base Andrews, offers a variety of health care services including: primary and preventative care, comprehensive womens health care, audiology and mental health services. It is open Monday-Friday, 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m.

Southeast Washington DC Community Based Outpatient Clinic- Located in the Southeast Veterans Service Center near the intersection of Chesapeake Street and Southern Avenue in Southeast Washington.  The Community Based Outpatient Clinic (CBOC)Southeast is open Monday, Thursday and Fridays from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. and on Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. to provide basic medical and preventative care, health education, mental health services, addiction counseling, comprehensive womens health care and nutritional counseling to eligible Veterans.

BC/BE Psychiatrist

Full unrestricted MD/DO license (any state)
