This is an exciting opportunity to help establish the Accounting Department in a new multi-cultural innovative industry. The IFRS Technical Accounting Manager will help in all areas of the accounting department as listed below.
Roles and Responsibilities:
- IFRS Financial Statements Preparation including proper footnotes.
- Research proper Accounting Treatment.
- Establishing and documenting Accounting Policies & procedures.
- Work with internal and external outside auditors.
- Review legal documents for technical accounting determination.
- Work with outside counsel to understand legal documents.
- Analysis as needed.
- Establishing and monitoring Internal Controls.
- Attention to detail.
- Development of internal financial statements for review by management and Board of Directors.
- Development of financial statement supporting documentation.
- Month end activities.
- Other jobs and duties as needed.
- Areas of Leadership and Technical abilities.
- Knowledge and experience preparing IFRS Financial Statements.
- Proficient in MS Excel, MS Access, or other database applications.
- Knowledge of SAP beneficial.
- Understanding of Taxes.
- Good written and oral communication.
Minimum Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or similar.
- Minimum 5 years of Accounting /Finance Experience.
- Good working knowledge of accounting principles, methods, and techniques.
- Strong problem solving and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and multi-task.
- Demonstrated teamwork and team building skills.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Bilingual English / Korean.
- Certified Public Accountant.
- Master of Business Administration.
- Experience in continuous improvement systems and lean manufacturing.
- Mainframe applications / ITM program understanding.
- Ability and desire to identify opportunities for process improvements, and the drive to enact change in those instances.
