Alera Group is seeking an experienced Senior Account Team Lead/Operations Lead for their P&C Healthcare Liability Team based in Chicago, IL.

The Senior Account Team Lead/Operations Lead will provide overall management and oversight of daily operations as well as collaborate with the Management team on strategic direction.  This includes supervision of approximately 10 service team members across various offices, design and implementation of operational processes for productivity and compliance, and establishment and delivery of key sales and service reporting metrics.  The successful candidate will also be responsible for optimal use of our various technology platforms for agency management, sales tracking and automation.


  • Collaboration on design of operational strategy.
  • Implementation and continuous optimization of operational processes.
  • Motivate and lead a high performance service team; providing mentoring and training as a cornerstone of career development.
  • Establish and monitor appropriate procedures and controls to ensure accuracy, efficiency, productivity and regulatory integrity is maintained for all work performed.
  • Identify, develop and deploy technology solutions to innovate and transform repeatable processes.
  • Assist sales team with KPI reports and management of sales tracking tools.

  • 5+ years of work experience in commercial P&C insurance.
  • 3+ years of experience managing service team members.
  • Demonstrated experience in continuous improvement projects or initiatives, green belt certification or application of Lean principles a plus.
  • Experience with AMS360 and SalesForce preferred.
  • Active P&C License required or obtained within 3 months of employment.
  • Strong computer skills including all Microsoft Suite applications, intermediate to advanced experience with Excel preferred.
  • Strong organizational skills and understanding of agency operations and regulatory issues.
  • Ability to understand and prepare various sales and agency management reports.
