Job Summary and Qualifications

 Facilitates the development, implementation and ongoing adherence of Sepsis Program protocols and therapies. Ensures the protocols and therapies become the standard of care within the facility. Collaborates with medical and hospital staff to provide multidisciplinary care to patients with a diagnosis of sepsis in an effort to decrease mortality, morbidity and length of stay. Responsible to track and report sepsis data to the Quality department and tracks/encourages the utilization of the sepsis order sets  

 POSITION REQUIREMENTS

•  Current State of California Registered Nurse License
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing required, Master's degree preferred. 
  
• 3 to 5 years of Acute care, Critical Care, and/or ED experience 
  
•  Effective communication skills, both orally and written. 
• Fluent computer skills including Excel database, graphs, Powerpoint and Meditech. 
• Solid grasp of hemodynamics, basic infection control principles

It has the most extensive Emergency Room and Level I Trauma Center in the Inland Empire region and is the primary recipient of STEMI (heart attack) cases in Riverside County.
