Everas Community Services is a leading non-profit that manages group homes and day programs for people who have Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (I/DD). Through our support services and advocacy, we empower our clients to continually grow and lead fulfilling lives. Our organization is seeking a Behaviorist to join our team. This position is a member of our Clinical Department and will work directly with our Clinical Director. Main responsibilities include gathering data to assist in the design and implementation of ABA treatment goals for adults we serve who have I/DD. Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to, data analysis, observation, report writing, monitoring, staff training and feedback. This position requires regular visits to our Residential Group Homes and Day Programs throughout Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Union, and Somerset counties along with meetings both virtually and at our main office in Somerset. The successful candidate will be self-motivated, detail-oriented, and have a strong ability to prioritize under strict timelines and competing priorities.

Somerset, Bergen, Hudson, Essex, Passaic, and Union.

Key Responsibilities:
- Review ABC Data, Behavior Tracking Data and Specialized Tracking in electronic record keeping system and communicate any concerns/trends to the clinical director
- Observation and data collection, building positive relationships and demonstrating positive reinforcements techniques
- Complete monitoring of behavior guidelines at the frequency required per client’s ISP and complete necessary documentation
- Assist in preparation of guidelines/plans for monthly ISPs or on an as needed basis
- Train managers/supervisors on annual behavior guidelines
- Attend/present at agency meetings
- Keep monthly data updated for all clients on guidelines/plans
- Assist in developing communication and social skills trainings
- Write reports summarizing data and progress for each client supervised
- Communicate with parents/guardians
Experience/Skills Required:
- BCBA or BCaBA certification preferred. Candidates with Master’s Degrees working toward their BCBA, or those currently enrolled in BCBA coursework/Master’s programs will be considered.
- Ability to pass all background check requirements
- Strong organizational skills and ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Excellent communication skills, both orally and in writing
- Willingness to learn
- Willingness to meet NJ Executive Order 252, which requires employees to be fully vaccinated for COVID-19, including a booster; at minimum one dose is required to begin employment with the expectation to complete subsequent doses as per recommended time frames; this requirement may be waived only in exceptional circumstances as outlined in the law.
