Job Description
The Accounting Manager is responsible for managing Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable and Payroll.
Reviews and approves bank reconciliations; supervises monthly preparation of spreadsheets, including various health insurance/cell phone schedules and foster parent board payments.
Prepares and enters adjusting journal entries related to the monthly financial reporting and prepares ad hoc spreadsheet on children’s statistics as requested.
This position will prepare the monthly financial statements, be responsible for adherence to contractual financial reporting requirements and will assist the Director of Finance in budget preparation.
This position requires leadership skills as well as ability to supervise, motivate and monitor assigned staff and complete their annual evaluation.
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or Finance from an accredited College / University
Plus a minimum of two years related experience required.
Must have good communication skills – verbal and written and good organizational skills.
Must have a valid Florida Driver’s license.
