- Prepares supplies / medication, including complex sterile formulations under the direction of a Pharmacist. May prepare hazardous or biologic products when properly trained and competencies are passed.
- Prepares and packages bulk medications into unit of use packaging.
- Handles controlled substances for pharmacy and patient care areas under direct supervision of a pharmacist per federal and state law.
- Delivers pharmacy prepared medications, controlled substances and supplies to various nursing stations/patient care areas.
- Maintains a clean and organized work area.
- Maintains all requirements for CPhT certifications. Completes all Spectrum Health assigned competencies by assigned due dates.
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Associate's Degree preferred.
- Hospital experience preferred.
- LIC-Pharmacy Technician - STATE_MI State of Michigan 90 Days required.
- CRT-Pharmacy Technician, Certified (CPHT) - PTCB Pharmacy Technician Certification Board Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required Or
- CRT-Exam for the Certification of Pharmacy Technicians (ExCPT) - NHA National Healthcareer Association Excludes - LIC- Pharmacist Intern 90 Days required.
- Ideal candidates will possess Full Pharmacy Technician License and National Pharmacy Technician Certification
- IV Experience highly preferred at this time
- We are currently hiring for the following 3 Shifts (all are 8-Hr. Shifts):
