Job Summary:

As the Assistant General Manager, you will play a pivotal role in the day-to-day operations of Olde Tyme Grocery and BJs in Broussard. You will work closely with the General Manager to ensure the restaurants run smoothly and efficiently while maintaining our commitment to exceptional food quality and customer service.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Operational Excellence: Assist in overseeing all aspects of restaurant operations, including staff management, inventory control, and adherence to safety and sanitation standards.
  • Team Leadership: Lead by example, fostering a positive and cohesive work environment. Provide guidance, training, and support to staff members.
  • Guest Experience: Ensure that every guest enjoys a memorable dining experience by maintaining high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
  • Financial Management: Assist in managing budgets, controlling costs, and maximizing profitability. Monitor sales and financial performance, making data-driven decisions to achieve targets.
  • Vendor Relations: Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and vendors to ensure timely deliveries and quality products.
  • Quality Control: Uphold our commitment to delivering exceptional food quality by consistently monitoring food preparation, presentation, and taste.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal regulations, including health and safety guidelines.
  • Innovation: Collaborate with the General Manager and owners to identify opportunities for improvement, new menu items, and marketing initiatives.

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of restaurant management experience, preferably in a high-volume setting.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate a diverse team.
  • Strong knowledge of restaurant operations, including inventory management, scheduling, and financial analysis.
  • Exceptional customer service and communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with restaurant software and POS systems.
  • Food safety and management certifications are a plus.
