THE ROLE: Consulting Solutions Architect (Kentucky)

Job Summary:

As a Consulting Solutions Architect (CSA) you will play a critical role in Presidio's Central Region. The role of the CSA is to provide a business focused approach and high touch engagement with a select number of high-profile accounts. The CSA evangelizes Presidio product offerings and new vendor technologies within those select customers. The CSA is primarily responsible for uncovering new opportunities with the customer, leading multiple concurrent technical initiatives, and developing the trusted advisor role with the assigned accounts. Additionally, the CSA maintains our market beating pre-sales capabilities, drives the expansion of our services business and aligns appropriately with our vendor partners in those assigned clients.

Key Responsibilities:

Engagement and Relationship Building: Establishing high-touch engagement with select accounts to become a trusted advisor and advocate for Presidio's product offerings and new vendor technologies.

Identifying Opportunities: Proactively identifying and uncovering new business opportunities within the customer base while fostering a deep understanding of their needs.

Technical Leadership: Leading multiple technical initiatives concurrently, demonstrating a strong understanding of various technologies and their application to solve business problems.

Solution Development: Guiding customers through requirements gathering, formulating comprehensive solutions encompassing hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services.

Pre-sales and Scoping: Creating scopes of work and task lists for projects, leveraging a strong IT background and knowledge of diverse products and solutions.

Market Expansion: Driving the expansion of service offerings and maintaining cutting-edge pre-sales capabilities to stay competitive.

Vendor Partner Alignment: Ensuring alignment with vendor partners for the benefit of the assigned clients, fostering collaborative relationships.

Remote Work and Customer Interaction: Spending a significant amount of time meeting customers on-site and remotely, reducing the need for frequent office reporting, with a focus in the Kentucky area.

A successful Consulting Solutions Architect should be able to present and explain various technologies to customers, guide them through requirements gathering, and formulate a solution consisting of hardware, software, licensing, and engineering services. SAs are responsible for creating scopes of work and task lists for various types of projects in support of these solutions. Candidates should have a strong, proven IT background, a passion for solving business problems with technology, and familiarity with the broad range of products and solutions. The majority of time for this position is spent meeting with customers at their locations and working remotely, so the successful candidate will not need to report to a Presidio office. The job is focused primarily in the Kentucky area.

Travel Requirements:

In this role you will be expected to travel up to 35% within the region (rarely overnight). It will be based in Kentucky.

Required Skills:

• Strong IT background with proven expertise and experience
• Ability to articulate and present complex technologies effectively to customers
• Passion for leveraging technology to solve business challenges
• Familiarity with a wide range of products and solutions
• Capability to craft detailed scopes of work and project task lists
• Comfortable working remotely and engaging customers on-site

One or more of the following:

• Thorough understanding of Networking Architecture, Cloud Networking, and Network Automation
• Thorough understanding of Data Center Software Defined Architecture
• Thorough understanding of Collaboration Systems and Architecture
• Thorough understanding of Security Frameworks and their applicable use cases
• Thorough understanding of Data Center Systems and Architecture

Additional Desired Skills:

• 2+ years of consulting and/or pre-sales experience
• Prior experience working for a system integrator or consulting organization
• Enterprise Networking knowledge and experience
• AWS and/or Azure experience and certifications
• Experience migrating an on-premise to on-premise environments or on-premise to any cloud environment
• Basic knowledge of automation tools (Puppet, Ansible, Terraform, etc)
• Basic knowledge of container orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.)
• Data Protection experience

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
• 7+ years of overall relevant experience
