GENERAL PURPOSE

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Financial Analyst - Operations to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in managing financial operations related to operational productivity, cross-divisional warehousing/distribution, and key capital investment initiatives. This position requires a strong background in finance, operations, and SAP proficiency to ensure efficient financial processes and strategic decision-making. This position will need to effectively interact with multiple levels of leadership within the organization including Sr. Leadership. This position will be located in our Eden Prairie office, but we do offer a hybrid work schedule.

DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and analysis for various functions including warehousing/distribution, manufacturing, and capital expenditures.
  • Drive division-wide footprint optimization and cost savings initiatives throughout all plants/warehouses.
  • Conduct variance analysis and provide insights into key performance indicators to support decision-making.
  • Collaborate with both divisional and corporate logistics and supply chain teams to optimize shared warehousing strategies.
  • Drive financial performance in global manufacturing operations through effective cost management, budgeting, and financial analysis.
  • Provide financial insights to support demand planning, inventory management, production scheduling, and Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP).
  • Communicate, monitor, and enforce internal controls related to Operations.
  • Create and distribute effective financial reporting to business leaders.
  • Serve as a key liaison between finance and IT teams for SAP and other ERP related initiatives both within and outside of the division.
  • Assist in identifying performance improvement opportunities across the organization.
  • Complete special projects in a rigorous, thoughtful, and timely manner.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Essential Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • Strong technology skills, including proficiency with MS Office applications (Excel and Power Point).
  • Demonstrate critical thinking capability to improve processes and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a team environment, and leverage additional resources as needed.
  • Possess strategic thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent execution skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate flexible and efficient time management and to appropriately prioritize workload.
  • Must possess high degree of professionalism and ability to handle confidential information.
  • Must be able to work in fast-paced and growing environment.
  • Motivated, self-starter who desires success.
  • Demonstrated ability to be customer focused and responsive to questions and needs in a deadline driven environment.

Preferred Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance and/or Accounting required.
  • 5+ years of experience in operations finance roles

Preferred Skills:

  • Manufacturing experience
  • Self-starter as this is a newly created role
  • Experience with SAP
  • Experience with Cost Accounting
  • Experience with budget and forecast processes, analysis, and presentations

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required (for most of the working day) to sit and make coordinated movements of the fingers for using a keyboard.
  • Travel required as need to support operational locations not to exceed 25%.
  • This position will be located in our Eden Prairie office, but we do offer a hybrid work schedule.
