LMI is seeking a skilled SAP Plant Maintenance/Supply Chain Management SME in Huntsville, AL.
Under the guidance of the assigned government lead, manage day-to-day operations and task management from GCSS-Army Enterprise Aviation Logistics, PM GCSS-Army, and key stakeholders. Must be comfortable interacting with key leadership, articulate, and proactive. Must be able to work in a highly charged and fast-paced environment to prioritize and complete assigned tasks with minimal guidance, seeking guidance and clarification as required. Interacts with staff at all levels and across organizational teams and subordinate programs. Work location is in government space in Huntsville, AL, with possible local travel to other offsite government facilities.
The SAP Plant Maintenance/Supply Chain Management SME will support the Program Director, GCSS Army Program, and directly support the Technical Management Division Chief, GCSS Army. This position will be responsible for defining, driving and supporting new requirements and enhancements processes and the longer-term program strategic plans. Works across various teams and trading partners, ensuring a high level of quality and integrity in the SAP system. Able to work across various functional areas of SAP, possess a deep understanding of the existing Army functionality and business processes. Must demonstrate an ability to think strategically across both SAP and non-SAP landscapes and support the interfaces through which data is received and sent in the SAP environment.
- Deep, authoritative knowledge, skills and abilities with the SAP Plant Maintenance and Supply Chain module and integration points with related processes
- Three or more full-lifecycle SAP implementation projects from Blueprint to Sustainment in the Plant Maintenance team member and/or Plant Maintenance team lead roles
- Experience designing and automating maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions for complex equipment with hundreds of serially tracked parts represented by a hierarchy of Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE) technical objects
- Experience working with engineering change management and designing processes and automated solutions for material and part changes
- Experience collaborating with a team of SAP functional consultants and subject-matter experts to develop project artifacts and deliverables including design, configuration, specification, test and sustainment materials
- The ability to create resource-loaded project schedules as a component of a complex integrated master schedule
- Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex technical and functional constructs into elegant models to support leadership decision-making processes
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent demonstrated SAP PM/SCM experience and training
- 5+ years of relevant experience in an SAP PM/SCM role, with 10 or more years overall SAP experience
- A verifiable history of involvement in multiple SAP go-live events.
- Knowledge of or experience in multiple SAP modules (Financial Accounting (FI)) and Controlling (CO) (FICO), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD) and Funds Management (FM) is a plus.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, or individually as needed.
- Excellent communications skills to be able to deliver recommendations, advice and express concerns in both written and verbal formats.
- Comfortable developing and delivering briefings to all levels of Military and Government leadership.
- Experience with DOD ERP systems and/or GCSS-Army.
- Travel requirement: less than 25% potential.
- US Citizenship and Active Security Clearance required.
