We are looking for a talentedAll Crafts Second Classat our open pit Boron mine and processing facilities.

Reporting to theSupervisor of Maintenance Operationsand working in a challenging and exciting environment, you will be:

  • Demonstrating track record for supporting workplace safety in a team environment
  • Proficient in removing, repairing, and installing mobile equipment
  • Diagnosing basic hydraulic problems (basic failure analysis of hydraulic parts and components) while showing familiarity with equipment makes and models of major equipment fleets in use at Boron
  • Using cutting and welding tools for repairs properly and safely.
  • Safely and correctly using shop tools & support equipment: overhead cranes, grinders, sanders, drills, equipment lifts, jackstands, forklifts, sweepers, etc.
  • Capable of maintaining maintenance records and reports as
  • Capable of performing all other tasks, duties and assignments that may be required as part of qualifications listed above.
  • Connecting and/or disconnecting control circuits or electrical Have a basic understanding of low voltage. Lubricates and fuels all mobile equipment according to an established schedule and maintains daily reports of lubrication and maintenance

What you'll bring

  • A commitment to the safety of yourself and your team
  • High School diploma or GED, computer literate (maintain spreadsheets and logs, locate policies and procedures, print forms) and be able to read, write and perform basic
  • To qualify for Mechanic 1st Class, must meet accepted standards for skilled craft work and be a Journeyperson Craftsman with a minimum of four years' experience
  • Current and valid state civil driver's license
  • Knowledge of all major mobile equipment systems: cooling, braking, lubrication, engine, transmission, drive train, suspension, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, A/C, tires/rims, etc.
  • One to two years' experience in automotive and diesel repair. Experience with diagnosing, dissembling, repairing, reassembling, lubricating, and fueling mobile equipment.
  • Skills with oxyacetylene cutting, burning, or brazing and making electrical repairs.
