Store Maintenance

Job Summary

The Store Maintenance Persons main responsibility is to assist Management in achieving and maintaining the organization and cleanliness of both the exterior and interior of the store. The expected tasks include duties necessary to insure the cleanliness and organization of the store and these tasks can vary from store to store.

Education
At least eight grade education
High School diploma or equivalent required for advancement
Physical
Frequent lifting of 5-10lbs and occasional lifting up to 50lbs
Able to stand up to 6 hours
Able to bend/twist/reach
Clarity of vision near/ far distances and acceptable level of hearing
Able to work in a cooler at a temperature of 39 degrees for 30 minutes
Able to climb a ladder to do windows, reach equipment, reach store supplies etc.
Able to stock shelves on the sales floor and in the cooler
Able to sweep and mop floors, dust shelves, and lift and carry out trash and place in outside bin
Able to clean pumps, parking lots and surrounding grounds
Able to tolerate exposure to gasoline fumes and cleaning products
Travel
Able to get to work on time
Able to attend any mandatory training

Key Duties and Responsibilities
Exterior:
Empties outside trash bins and keeps the bins clean
Maintains the gas island with squeegees, paper towels, fresh clean wash fluid, credit card holders with credit card applications
Sweeps parking lot
Washes pumps and keeps them clean top to bottom
Picks up papers, cigarette butts, and other litter off the grass and the paved areas
Cleans and maintains dumpsters and dumpster area
Keeps any out door displays organized, clean, and stocked
Cleans glass, doors, windows moving signs and cleaning underneath them and then putting the signs back
Reports any damage or repairs needed to management
Check fuel spill buckets for liquid and reports to management if found
Interior:
Empties inside trash containers and keeps them clean
Sweeps and mops all floors including cooler, back room, and office
Cleans and restocks all restrooms
Takes out any cardboard that needs removed form the store
Empties the mop bucket and rinses out the mop, the bucket, and the sink and hangs mop to dry in designated location
Cleans inside glass doors and windows and window ledges
Sweeps/vacuums any rugs
Stocks and organizes requested product; bring beer and soda into cooler and help stock; stock supplies such as soda cups, lids, straws
Bag ice and fill ice in coke, pepsi, and other barrels or bins
Cleans air ducts when dirty and replaces air filters if needed
Changes gas price signs when asked
Cleans other equipment Fountain Soda Machine, Cream Machine, Cappuccino Machine, Ghelds Machine, ParrotIce Machine, Hot Dog Machine
Fronts and faces cooler, fronts, faces, and dusts grocery shelves
Performs other maintenance duties as requested by management
