Core Job Responsibilities: Paralegal
Identifies relevant moderately complex legal issues related to commercial agreements and related assigned matters; synthesizes information collected; proposes well-reasoned alternative solutions to management.
Drafts and prepares a variety of legal documents, correspondence, and reports that are standard legal documents or that require a minimal amount of original writing. Performs analysis and assessment.
Performs substantive legal work that requires knowledge of legal concepts commonly included in agreements of all types
Receives agreement requests, reviews agreements, drafts and negotiates changes to agreements
Properly utilizes appropriate and efficient word processing techniques such as mail merges, redlining and word searches
Drafts non-standard agreements as directed by management or resident counsel.
Resolves routine and moderately complex to complex legal issues concerning various types of agreements within established department guidelines and with minimal supervision
Performs independent analysis of unique issues concerning various types of agreements and proposes solutions to attorney
Capable of assessing the broader impact of legal decisions on the business
Represents client externally to customers, suppliers, competitors, opposing counsel; resolves legal issues
Prepare documents for EDD, Labor commission, and issues related to labor relations ligations. Work closely with Human Resources.
Performs related duties as required.
PRIMARY JOB FUNCTION:
Provides legal support to businesses supported by Yadav Enterprise concerning a variety of agreements such as confidentiality, research, investigator-sponsored studies, material transfer, marketing agreements, clinical research-related agreements, quality agreements and other miscellaneous agreements.
Resolves legal matters for assigned responsibilities.
Supports the business in the achievement of business objectives by communicating advice of the Legal Department and managing legal risks to the corporation.
Comprehend, adhere to, maintain and communicate department policies, procedures and processes
Performs light administrative duties
QUALIFICATION.
Associate or Bachelors degree required
Paralegal certificate is required
2 or 3 year experience
Exceptional Interpersonal, verbal and written skills
Microsoft Office ( MS Word, Excel and power point)
Flexible mindset and willing to adapt to change
Passion for what you do and good sense of humor
Proficiency with via desired, but not required
Commitment to professionalism and collegiality.
Able work effectively with internal and external clients
Able to multi task under pressure
