Summary:

Selective is seeking an Enterprise Application Integration Lead Specialist who is well versed in Integration platforms like IBM App connect Enterprise (ACE) and other Cloud PaaS Integration services. As a part of our growing Center of Excellence (CoE) services you will be responsible to help application areas in integrations project requirements/design/arch, drive strategic initiatives aligned to integrations platforms, and help build/mature CoE services around the various Enterprise Application Integration Software (IBM ACE 12, Azure Api Management, Azure logic Apps or other cloud iPaaS services)

Responsibilities:

  • Develop Enterprise standards, Enterprise governance frameworks, and system integration standards
  • Develop and maintain the technology stack to include current and future integration platforms/ecosystem
  • Provide expert advice to project teams on use of integration technology, system architecture including integration best practices
  • Oversee critical steps within the Software Development Life Cycle components that impact enterprise-wide development / architecture standards
  • Understand, establishes & enhances SDLC practices example DevOps, automation, improving altering and monitoring capabilities, unit testing
  • Provide oversight in standards adherence through reviews of project work including detailed technical specifications and application code
  • Researches and evaluates alternative solutions and recommends the most efficient and cost-effective solutions for the system design. Participates in setting technical direction with the architecture, security, and infrastructure groups.
  • Provide highly technical consulting and leadership in identifying and implementing new uses of information technologies which assist the functional business units in meeting their strategic objectives
  • Work with project teams in definition of requirements for integration strategies and work with Enterprise architecture and solution architecture group to enhance/improve existing Integration standards and guidance
  • Manage/lead internal resources as well as augmented or externally sourced team members
  • Assist with incident response, troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and problem resolution
  • Communicate project and CoE Activity status to various levels of management
  • Partner with leaders of other disciplines to ensure proposed solutions align with information, technology, infrastructure, business, and security architectures
  • All other projects and duties as required or assigned

Qualifications:

  • Ability to effectively work well with people in other departments and/or outside of the enterprise.
  • Possesses excellent communication skills.
  • Strong development experience using IBM WebSphere Family tool sets including IBM Integration Bus v10, App Connect v11/12 and IBM MQ v8.0
  • In-depth knowledge of standards/technologies that enable messaging, including XML, WSDL, SOAP, JMS, REST, Swagger, JSON, HTTP and SSL
  • Strong working knowledge of DevOps approaches in Continues Integration and Continuous Deployment
  • Knowledge of Administration, performance tuning and development in IBM ACE
  • Nice to have IIB/ACE 12 certification
  • Nice to have familiarity with Agile methodologies and systems development life cycle processes, tools, concepts, and methodologies.
  • Nice to have other coding language experience like .NET/C#, PL/SQL
  • Nice to have experience with Source Control tool like Azure DevOps Git, GitLab
  • Nice to have working knowledge of Cloud solutions and other application integration platforms like Azure API management, Azure logic apps, Event Grids, Kafka etc.
  • Seven plus years of experience in hands on development. Three plus years of experience in architecture and system design
  • College degree in Computer Science, Management Information Science, Business Administration, or related field preferred.

Salary range: $116,000 - $167,000. The actual base salary is based on geographic location, and the range is representative of salaries for this role throughout Selective's footprint. Additional considerations include the candidate's qualifications and experience.
