Primary purpose:

To provide support in all areas of company systems and processes for Cyber Security efforts within the Operational Technology (OT) environment.

Essential duties and responsibilities

  • Conduct security assessments of OT systems and networks to identify vulnerabilities and potential threats.
  • Design, implement, and maintain security controls for OT systems, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and network segmentation.
  • Configure and manage security appliances and systems for OT environments.
  • Develop and implement incident response plans for OT security incidents.
  • Provide technical guidance and support to OT teams on security best practices.
  • Stay up-to-date on the latest OT security threats and trends, and share your knowledge with others.
  • Participate in cross-functional teams to develop and implement overall cybersecurity strategy.
  • Document security procedures and processes.
  • Provide onsite Operations support and training related to cyber security at Tallgrass.
  • Speak clearly, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and listen carefully.
  • Regularly reports efforts to OT and Cyber Security team management.
  • Maintain a high regard for personal safety, for the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

Minimum requirements:

Education:

  • Associate degree from an accredited institution in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related discipline.
  • A minimum of (5) years direct work experience in OT security may be considered as a substitute for a degree.

Experience/Specific Knowledge:

  • A minimum 0-3 years of experience in cybersecurity, with a focus on OT security preferred.
  • Beginner proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Certifications, Licenses & Registrations:

  • Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel).

Competencies, Skills & Abilities:

  • Strong understanding of ICS protocols and technologies (e.g., SCADA, DCS, PLC).
  • Experience with OT security assessments, vulnerability management, and incident response.
  • Knowledge of relevant security standards and regulations (e.g., ISA/IEC 62443, NIST Cybersecurity Framework).
  • Excellent communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience with security tools and methodologies (e.g., vulnerability scanners, penetration testing tools).

Working Conditions:

  • Frequent Overnight travel may be required

  • Experience with Factory Talk Asset Centre
  • Experience with IEC/ISA 62443 Cyber Security
  • Experience with OT asset management and threat detection tools
