Back Waiter

Rye Street Tavern, one of Clyde’s Restaurant Group’s latest concepts, is opening in the Spring of 2024. We are seeking passionate Back Waiters to join our team. Rye Street Tavern is located on the waterfront of the Baltimore Peninsula development adjacent to Sagamore Distillery. Our 400-seat restaurant features two great indoor bars, a 70-seat outdoor bar overlooking the water, an incredible patio, show kitchen, and our famous oyster bar.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A BACK WAITER

• Friendly, hardworking, and hospitality-driven with a desire to excel and maintain the highest level of service
• Problem solvers that can handle customer matters with courtesy, dignity and respect
• Great verbal and written communication skills

WHAT YOU WILL BE DOING AS A BACK WAITER

• Carries the order in hand or on a tray to the table and serves the plates for the customer at the table
• Assists chefs with expediting orders, to including assembly, garnishing and inspecting the delicious food dishes for quality and visual appeal of the plate
• Reads the food ticket, picks up plates and organizes them in hand or on a tray for delivery to the tables.
• Removes dirty plates, glasses and utensils from other tables and delivers them to the dishwashing station
• Notifies the expediter of other tables ready to be served
• Replenishes the stations with product and supplies to include hot water, brewed coffee beans, tea, milk, utensils, plates, bread, butter, jellies, other garnishes and condiments
• Breaks down and cleans work area, storing perishable product, cleaning equipment and supplies, and restocking to end of day par levels
