CNC Machinist Operator

This position is found in multiple departments and may require any combination of the following knowledge and skills:

· Be able to use specialized measuring instruments including but not limited to calipers, micrometers, gages, indicators, and the ability to set up, adjust and otherwise use manual and CNC machines including but not limited to lathes, milling machines, grinders and radial drills.

· Have the ability to read and work from blueprints, drawings and other specifications as needed to complete the specific job duties.

· Have the ability to speak and understand English and grammar sufficient to read, write, enter or utilize information pertinent to the equipment and department, and to otherwise communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.

· Be able to establish and maintain effective working relationships as required by specific job duties.

· Have the ability to receive and comprehend ongoing training and instruction as required by specific job duties.

Responsibilities include:

· Preparing and operating CNC machines to perform tasks such as drilling, grinding, milling, turning etc.

· Understanding specifications of the task at hand and the desired result by reading blueprints, mechanical drawings etc.

· Translate instructions into computer commands so the machines can perform the correct function.

· Prepare and load raw materials and parts onto the machines.

· Prepare a test run to check if the machines produce outputs according to specifications.

· Supervising the machines while they execute the tasks and make any necessary adjustments to produce a better result.

· Inspect and measure finished products and compare them with requirements to determine if the process has been completed properly.

· Check and maintain machinery daily to ensure functionality.

There are three specific kinds of CNC Operators (Grinding, Milling and Lathe)

All Training is done weekdays 6a-4:30p

All positions work M-F 4p-3:30a with additional bonus pay for shift differential
