The Inventory Control Clerk plays a crucial role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels to ensure smooth and efficient operations. This position involves overseeing inventory processes, implementing best practices, and utilizing technology to optimize inventory accuracy.
Title: Inventory Control Clerk
Pay rate: $19.50hr
Shift: 24hr shift (Day & Night)
Duration: Temp to Hire
What Does a Typical Day as an Inventory Control Clerk Look Like? You'll Be
- Regularly monitor and update inventory levels.
- Conduct cycle counts and physical inventories to verify system accuracy.
- Analyze inventory data to identify trends and discrepancies.
- Generate reports on inventory levels, stock movements, and discrepancies.
- Maintain and update inventory management systems.
- Resolve discrepancies between physical counts and system records.
- Coordinate with warehouse and logistics teams to ensure accurate receiving, storage, and shipping of products.
- Ensure compliance with inventory control policies and procedures.
- Implement quality control measures to minimize errors and discrepancies.
- Utilize barcode scanning and other inventory management technologies.
- Stay updated on advancements in inventory control systems.
- Investigate and resolve inventory discrepancies promptly.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to address inventory-related issues.
You Might Be an Exceptional Fit for This Role if You:
- Possess a high school diploma or its equivalent.
- Must have between 6 months to 1 year of Warehouse/Logistics experience.
- Proven experience in inventory control/cycle count.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Familiarity with inventory management software and systems.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
- Detail-oriented and capable of multitasking in a fast-paced environment.
