Job Description
JustinBradley's client is a growing B2B business that is increasing its global footprint. The current leadership team is looking to add an Accounting Manager to assist in building a scalable, high performing finance and accounting department that will support its current and future growth. Through the design and implementation of people, systems and processes, the Accounting Manager will be actively hands-on across all aspects of finance and throughout the business.
A successful candidate will leverage their prior achievements in improving accounting operations teams, developing financial forecasting and budgeting capabilities and providing sound technical accounting advice to the senior management team. The right candidate will work best in a fast-paced, collaborative, results-oriented environment and want to play an impactful role in the growth of a company.
Highlighted Responsibilities include:
- Assist the Senior Controller in creating annual, quarterly and monthly close processes and ensure timely and accurate financial reporting, including coordination of reporting from overseas entities.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing
- Prepare financial statements, journal entries and account reconciliations
- Assist with budget preparation and preparing the monthly budget variance analyses
- Analyze and reconcile general ledger, bank statements and inter-company accounts
- Prepare and post journal entries for accrued expenses, revenue, payroll and adjustments
- Review and post accounts payable invoices
- Prepare and process cash receipts
- Ensure financial records are maintained in compliance with accepted accounting policies and procedures.
- Prepare for financial audits and assist in the audit process
- Assist Treasury with the weekly cash disbursements forecast
- Assist with Sales tax fillings and registrants
- Assist the Senior Controller in managing and documenting the finance teams day to day accounting operations, internal controls and cash flow management.
- Provide training, mentorship, and oversight of staff and build a high performing team.
- Calculate commissions and bonuses
Key Experiences required:
- Prior experience in an accounting leadership role.
- Prior experience in training, mentorship, and oversight of an accounting and finance department.
- Hands-on experience with Quickbooks Enterprise
- Expertise in US GAAP accounting policies (e.g. including revenue recognition, inventory and intercompany transactions).
- Experience using integrated systems such as HubSpot, Avalara, Asana, highly preferred.
- Has been involved with enterprise-wide system implementations from start to finish, strongly desired.
- Experience in e-commerce and fulfillment
- CPA is a plus.
