Warehouse - Receiving Lead

JOB SUMMARY:

To oversee and manage all aspects of receiving materials, warehouse storage, and issuing to production.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

1.      Receive in house or at the warehouse, all incoming bulk flour, ingredients, packaging, bakery supplies and equipment.

2.      Maintain GMP and HACCP standards by checking and or rejecting loads (if necessary) based on the following:

·         Condition of the carriers’ truck

·         Condition of actual incoming load.

·         Material meets company specification and the quantity matches on the invoice and P.O.

·         Truck inspections to be entered into Safety Chain

·         Maintain Receiving Log and fill out all necessary paperwork for inbound and outbound trucks.

3.      Maintain proper storage and rotation of inventory by properly dating incoming items and using them on a FIFO basis.

4.      Enter all transactions into PRIMS.

5.      Take an accurate inventory of all ingredients and wrapping materials on a weekly basis.

6.      Investigate inventory variances to determine root cause.  Advise and implement corrective actions.

7.      Monitor par levels and advise if adjustments need to be made.

8.      Ensure all trucks are loaded properly with the proper count and prepare bill of lading or receipt, which will be signed off by the driver.

9.      Requisition wrapping materials and ingredients on a daily basis in accordance with the production order.

10.  Schedule and confirm delivery appointments

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

·         Maintain housekeeping of all storage areas and warehouse.

·         Assist in special projects when use of the Forklift is essential.

·         Review packaging and ingredient requirements and provide Purchase Requisitions to Purchasing

·         Comply with company GMP policies and guidelines

·         Other duties assigned by Management.

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Valid Drivers License

·         Forklift Operation

·         Must be able to stand, walk and lift up to 50 pounds.
