Position: Program Coordinator

Status: Exempt, Full-Time

Supervisor: Program Manager

JOB DESCRIPTION

POSITION SUMMARY: The SSVF Program Coordinator oversees the Supportive Services for Veteran Families (SSVF) program. The SSVF program is a federal VA-funded program to provide homelessness prevention and rapid rehousing assistance, using the housing first model, to Veterans experiencing, or at risk of, homelessness. The Coordinator will play a primary role in implementing policies and procedures, training staff, and also ensures that services, assistance, policies, procedures, reporting, and records comply with funding requirements. The Coordinator ensures that the SSVF policies and services work to assist Veterans and the families to obtain and/or retain permanent housing, and that federally-mandated program benchmarks and objectives are met.

QUALIFICATIONS:

· At least four years proven experience and expertise in providing services to very low income households.

· Experience with homeless services preferred; experience with program management preferred.

· At least four years supervisory experience.

· Grants management and housing program experience strongly preferred.

· Commitment to the mission and values of the Victory Village.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

· Grant compliance, management, and reporting

· Ability to implement and update program policies and procedures, hire and train staff, and outreach to the community

· Ability to foster professional working relationships with colleagues, clients, community agencies, and the Veterans Administration

· Ability to follow program and funding requirements, and maintain required documentation

· Ability to track and meet or achieve required program outcomes and benchmarks Excellent interpersonal and team-building skills

· Effective written and verbal communication skills Effective supervision and personnel management skills

· Effective organizational, time management, and project management skills Ability to work accurately with attention to detail

· High level of professionalism and ability to work independently Excellent skills in Microsoft

· Word, Office, Excel, and Internet

· Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks

RESPONSIBLE TO: Program Manager

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Responsibility for leading the staff at the Auburn office

· Supervision of 4-6 program staff

· Responsible for administering appropriate policies, procedures, and recordkeeping to provide for compliance with funding requirements

· Responsible for meeting goals, objectives, and benchmarks established for the grant

· Responsible for the safeguarding and management of physical assets of the programs managed

· Participate in staff meetings, in-service trainings, agency events, and workshops

· Maintain client confidentiality

· Represent Victory Villages, and our mission and values, in the community

· All other duties as assigned by the Program Manager or Executive Director

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Must be able to sit and use computer for extended periods of time

Must be available to work some evenings and weekends, if needed, and be on call as needed

Must be able to intercede in the event of a crisis
