Wood Assembly Supervisor (2nd Shift)

Job Summary:

The 2nd Shift Wood Assembly Supervisor is responsible for several duties at Jahabow, including supervising and coordinating the work of employees who assemble, wire, build and adjust precision units. They may also be required to assemble non-standard units.

*Training will be conducted on 1st shift before moving to 2nd.

Duties:

• Oversees the employees in the Wood Assembly 2 Department.
• Uses hand tool and power tools to assemble units to product specifications.
• Has knowledge of commonly used concepts, practices, and procedures within a particular field
• Ensures employees assemble fabricated parts at floor stations per customer specifications.
• Approve and monitor Paid Time Off (PTO) for direct reports
• Responsible for maintaining accurate records within the MRP System, inventory, labor etc
• Ensures part flow is timely and efficient
• Counseling and team building with employees
• Follow safety guidelines and enforce compliance within the department.
• Responsible for producing good QC approved parts
• Organize and keep work area clean

Skills/Qualifications:

• Education Required/Preferred: High School diploma or equivalent
• Experience: 4 Years of experience
• Qualifications: Able to lift up to 20 to 35 lbs.
• Ability ro walk & stand for most hours of the workday
• Ability to use tools to assemble items.

REQUIRED SKILLS

· Familiar with use of hand tools-table saw, hand drills and drill presses, sanders, dust collectors, miter saw

· Ability to direct the work of others.
