Job Description:
Growing Young Minds Counseling is seeking a compassionate and skilled Child Therapist to join our team. As a Child Therapist, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and their families by providing virtual therapy services in a supportive and empathetic manner.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct virtual therapy sessions with children and adolescents to address a wide range of mental health concerns, including anxiety, depression, trauma, behavioral issues, and more.
- Develop individualized treatment plans based on clients' needs and goals, utilizing evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
- Provide ongoing assessment and evaluation of clients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
- Collaborate with parents, guardians, and other professionals involved in the child's care to ensure a holistic and coordinated approach to treatment.
- Maintain accurate and confidential client records, documenting session notes, treatment plans, and progress reports in a timely manner.
- Stay informed about current research, trends, and best practices in child therapy, and incorporate new knowledge into clinical practice.
- Attend regular team meetings and engage in supervision and professional development opportunities.
Requirements:
- Master's degree or higher in Counseling, Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
- Valid licensure as a therapist (e.g., LGPC, LCPC, LMFT, LCSW) in the state where services are provided.
- Demonstrated experience working with children and adolescents in a therapeutic setting.
- Proficiency in providing virtual therapy using secure and HIPAA-compliant platforms.
- Strong assessment, diagnostic, and treatment planning skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to establish rapport with clients and their families.
- Ability to work independently, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Empathy, patience, and a genuine passion for helping children and families.
- Familiarity with diverse populations and cultural sensitivity.
- Commitment to maintaining ethical standards and confidentiality.
