Teacher's Assistant

An ideal person for the teacher's assistant at Countryside Montessori would be someone who has a natural knack for working with and teaching young children as well as being able to work as a team member under the direction of lead teachers and the director.  This person should be prompt daily, hard working, honest, able to live a few hours without their phone, flexible, have a love of learning and an interest in learning about the Montessori method of education.  They should be able to follow a daily routine, adjust to the needs of the students, have good organizational and observation skills, and be able to clean and handle diaper changing and potty training.

You must be able to pass a background check, be a non-smoker or be able to work your hours without smoking or arriving the smell of smoke on your person or person items due to adverse effects on the students, you must be able to work 30 to 40 hours per week withing our range of Monday to Friday from 7 AM to 6 PM.  This semester from now to May, it most likely will be Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday as a set schedule with the remainder being flexible as needed by the school.  You will always know your set schedule by the semester so you can plan ahead.

Your dress, demeanor, appearance and behavior must reflect on your position and duties and represent the school appropriately.  

The job starts at $10.75 per hour and raises come with proven performance and contribution to the school success.  Bonuses and paid holidays based on time with company and performance.

We do offer health insurance after 2 months with the company sponsoring some and some available for you to purchase if you so choose, some paid holidays with the amount depending on hours worked and time with the company, and paid training opportunities.  Bonuses are given a few times a year varying with time with the company and performance.

You are required to obtain a minimum of 30 hours of training yearly.  Weekend training conferences are available a few times a year and staff days are included in our yearly planned operating schedule and are required.

We follow the Denton ISD calendar closely during the school year and are open in the summer with a week closed for vacation.
