Job Description
  • We are a thriving office in search of a Medical Assistant who is kind and can multi-task. Bilingual/ Spanish person is a plus. You must be able to assist physicians and patients that will include clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the physicians.
Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
  • Virtually check in patients for telemed visits
  • Prepare medications a directed by a physician.
  • Interview patients to obtain and record medical information and measure their vital signs
  • Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician's instructions to patients
  • Review patient charts at end of day for the next work day to make sure that patient sure that patient charts contain all pertinent information
  • Alert physician of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams
  • Monitor supply levels and replace as needed
  • Checking your voicemail and handle them accordingly
  • Taking Virginia Hospital Center in-patient consult calls and relaying the message to the on call doctor
  • Prep examination rooms ( keeping them clean, disinfected and stock well with supplies).
  • Document accurately in EHR information given to patients, and scan copies in appropriate charts.
  • Answering back lines
  • Comply with patient needs at all times
  • Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
