We are a thriving office in search of a Medical Assistant who is kind and can multi-task. Bilingual/ Spanish person is a plus. You must be able to assist physicians and patients that will include clinical and administrative duties under the direction of the physicians.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

Show patients to examination rooms and prepare them for the physician
Virtually check in patients for telemed visits
Prepare medications a directed by a physician.
Interview patients to obtain and record medical information and measure their vital signs
Explains treatment procedures, medications, diets, and physician's instructions to patients
Review patient charts at end of day for the next work day to make sure that patient sure that patient charts contain all pertinent information
Alert physician of patients' allergies prior to beginning exams
Monitor supply levels and replace as needed
Checking your voicemail and handle them accordingly
Taking Virginia Hospital Center in-patient consult calls and relaying the message to the on call doctor
Prep examination rooms ( keeping them clean, disinfected and stock well with supplies).
Document accurately in EHR information given to patients, and scan copies in appropriate charts.
Answering back lines
Comply with patient needs at all times
Apply knowledge of sterile techniques and OSHA regulations
Perform other related duties as assigned.

Education/Training:

High School diploma or equivalent; must have successfully completed and graduated from a medical assistant program; must have current CPR certificate
