Come join our award-winning team as the Sales and Events Coordinator at the Courtyard by Marriott in Orem University Place. This is an hourly, full-time position that reports directly to the Hotel General Manager. The position is Monday Friday but may require nights and weekends when applicable.

Performance Expectations
Responsible for booking all meeting and group rooms and ensuring that communication between the client and hotel staff is maintained
Assisting the Director of Sales with all sales related activities
Assist with event planning, set-up, service and take-down; creating event contracts, will be a guest contact for meeting and events, ensures event set-up and details are complete to guest satisfaction, prepares invoices for hosted meetings
Books guest reservations and/or coordinates with group sales/property coordinator as needed; create rooming list, etc.
Arrange and conduct tours of the hotel event space
Assist with completing daily/weekly/monthly reports
Handle day to day banquet and meeting room requests
Follow-up on sales leads; assisting the Director of Sales with contracts, etc.
Provide an impressive service experience for all clients and guests during every encounter
Establish a stellar and loyal working relationship with top and target accounts
Will be trained on the Front Desk and act as backup Guest Services Agent as needed.

Minimum Qualifications
1-2 years of previous hospitality or events experience.
An outgoing personality is a must.
Excellent customer service skills.
Proficient computer skills (Microsoft Office).
Strong written and verbal communication skills, organized, and detail oriented.
