Job Summary:

Supervises and assists activities desk agents at Jackson Lake Lodge, Colter Bay Village and Flagg Ranch in providing information regarding activities available through the Grand Teton Lodge Company and local area information. Supervises and assists in selling tickets for activities and performs record-keeping tasks. Works with various department heads coordinating scheduled activities, and special events and posting changes/charges for these events in Visual One

Job Responsibilities

  • Must consistently provide legendary hospitality experiences to internal and external guests alike
  • Prepare and schedule all Activities Desk Agents at JLL
  • Responsible for payroll budget of supervised personnel
  • Ensure proper handling of all group/conventions activity requirements. Responsible for billing charges to Master Accounts.
  • Responsible for training and educating Activities Desk Agents in computer usage, ticketing, and all necessary job skills including accounting procedures, company policies and day to day communications with guests.
  • Anticipate problems and take appropriate action. Must handle guest objections and challenges.
  • Enforce policies and procedures as directed by the Front Office Manager, Rooms Division Manager, and Director of Hotel Operations.
  • Define policies, coordinate training and troubleshoot problem areas associated with activities portion of Visual One Activities Scheduler.
  • Makes certain that all daily activities are posted correctly on the various notice boards
  • Perform Activities Desk Agent duties as required
  • Responsible for coordinating with all Tour Directors
  • Commends outstanding performance through various recognition programs and takes coaching and disciplinary action when necessary.
  • Knowledge of frequently asked questions; Grand Teton Lodge activities, National Park activities at Jackson Lake Lodge & Colter Bay Village, hiking trails, things for kids to do, activities in Jackson and Teton Village, hotels in Jackson, good restaurants, white water trips, babysitting, church services, Yellowstone weather, highways, menus, airport and bus schedules, and Grand Teton Lodge Company rates.
  • Must strive to obtain knowledge of the region including, Grand Teton National Park, Yellowstone National Park and Jackson
  • Must coordinate and maintain positive relationships with all employees responsible for execution of all activities sold to ensure that guests are given proper information. 
  • Other duties as assigned

 

The “must haves” for this position include

  • One year of supervisory experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Guest service experience
  • Valid U.S. Driver’s License, Successful completion of MVR
  • Good working knowledge of computers
  • Fluent in understanding and speaking English
  • Friendly, courteous personality, ability to relate well to guests and employees
  • Ability to perform under pressure
  • Capable of handling moderately strenuous activity
  • Must have good organizational skills and possess initiative

 

We prefer that you additionally have the following skills/experience, but it is not required

  • Experience with Visual One
  • Knowledge of Grand Teton National Park
  • Strong administrative skills
  • Excellent people skills
  • Previous hotel concierge experience
  • Cash Handling

The expected pay range is $42,000. This is the pay range we reasonably expect to pay for this position. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.
