Insider Threat Analyst - Corporate Security

We are hiring a mid-level Security Analyst who is responsible for security intelligence analysis for the Corporate Security Program. This role conducts research and analysis and assists in initiatives, investigations, and program development. This position reports to the Sr Manager, Corporate Security - Threat Management.

The position focuses on gathering and analyzing data that is used to detect potential insider and external threats to the Company and its employees.

Responsibilities:

• Conducts research & analysis of internal and open sources to support investigations and ensure program best practices
• Identifies insider risks by using information security tools and running searches of networks, systems, log data, and various social media platforms
• Identifies risks associated with Company's travel program, offering mitigation recommendations
• Develops high quality, tactical and strategic threat assessments, or other work products, based on the needs of the business
• Submits concise mitigation recommendations through written analysis and visual presentations
• Develops and provides risk briefings to management, staff and external stakeholders
• Assist in developing and implementing security policies and procedures aligning to industry standards and legislation
• Assists in life safety response and after-action efforts
• Partners with key internal personnel and external industry professionals, specifically intelligence and insider threat analysts

Requirements:

• 5+ years of experience with Insider Threat and security programs
• Experience establishing and evaluating corporate travel security programs
• Excellent technical, interpersonal, and analytical skills with the ability to communicate physical security concepts to technical as well as non-technical audiences
• Ability to think and communicate a clear and concise narrative
• Proven attention to detail; diligent and extremely organized
• Experience in supporting the development and logistics of training
• Advanced communication and collaboration skills
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build effective relationships at all levels of the organization
• Experience working with Splunk and Symantec DLP (preferred) and MS Office (required)
• Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion
• Bachelors Degree or equivalent work experience

This position is based in our Reston, VA office and offers a flexible, hybrid work schedule.

The pay range is $106,300 - $143,800.

The anticipated annual base salary range for this position is noted above, however, base pay offered may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, experience. Verisign offers a discretionary bonus which is based on individual and company performance, and certain roles may be eligible for discretionary stock awards.
