Job Summary and Qualifications

We are seeking a Nurse Manager (RN) for our COMING SOON Hospital Outpatient Department scheduled to open in May 2024. We are an amazing team that works hard to support each other and seeking a phenomenal addition like you who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do. We want you to apply now!

What You Will Do In Your Role:

  • You will assist the Director of Surgical Services with all department activities to assure a coordinated effort in fulfilling department responsibilities with the long-range plan, mission, vision, and values of the facility.
  • Provides daily oversight of the schedule
  • Monitors the department productivity
  • Manages throughput
  • Oversees Timekeeping for accuracy
  • Will be directly involved with staff interviews and hiring
  • Work closely with SPD and Supply Chain department
  • You will assist in coordinating the department’s participation in Performance Improvement activities to assure continuous Quality Improvement.
  • You will ensure that nursing care is based on the nursing process and evaluates the effectiveness on an ongoing basis.
  • You will provide clinical support to the nursing staff. 
  • You will demonstrate team work, adaptability, and serve as a resource to the Surgical Services team.

What qualifications you will need:

  • Graduate of an accredited school of professional nursing is required. Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
  • At least 3 years of experience in a Recovery Room/Day Surgery setting is required. Supervisor/Manager experience is preferred.
  • Current Registered Nurse License in the State of Texas or Multi-State Compact License (Employees with RN Compact License are required to obtain Texas RN License within 90 days of hire date).
  • Current American Heart Association BLS, ACLS, and PALS are required.
