United Health Services is seeking compassionate, experienced RNs to join our Oncology team at UHS Wilson Medical Center in Johnson City, NY. Day, Evening, and Night shifts available.
We welcome all experienced nurses with or without experience in Oncology. Our department loves to teach, and you will pick up many new skills working with our team. All Oncology nurses are formally trained to give Chemotherapy during their orientation period and have regular access to on-site mentors and educators. We will make sure you are comfortable with your training. During your orientation period, you will work closely with our clinical coaches and have a weekly touch base with your Nurse Manager. We will make sure you feel part of our close-knit team right away!
Our Oncology team will soon have a state-of-the-art floor in the new UHS Wilson Main Tower. This six-story, 183,000-square-foot clinical tower on the UHS Wilson Medical Center campus will open its Oncology unit beginning July 2024 with 30 private beds and baths.
Our 1-4/1-6 nurse-to-patient ratio gives you the ability to truly support your patients as they go through a difficult time in their lives and create a comforting environment for them. While some days are hard, seeing your patients complete their treatment successfully is one of the most rewarding things you will experience in your career. Our patients rely on us to be their support system, extended family, and for us to advocate for them, especially when they cannot. We show up for our patients on both happy and heart-wrenching days, as well as provide support for their families.

*Education/Experience*
Minimum Required:
* A graduate of an accredited school of Nursing
Preferred:
* Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing
* Previous clinical nursing experience in an acute care or ambulatory setting
*License/Certification*
Minimum Required:
* Current NYS RN License
Preferred:
* Professional certification in a related nursing specialty
* Relevant skills certification (i.e., ACLS, PALS, TNCC) as required by home unit assigned.
